Our baby girl arrived early this morning, gently born in your pool. Inbal, it was the most present, peaceful and overwhelming human experience of my life. Thank you for your guidance and care.
A beautiful start of welcoming our new family member ☺
Mariann’s impression: I was scared about pain in labor and felt guilty about my feeling. In my culture everyone said it is something that a women has to tolerate. The course thought me that my body actually knows what to do during labor and how beautiful, calm, relaxed and enjoyable the birth can be. The atmosphere of the course was like a chatting with friends, very natural, open and friendly. It was not about what you have to do but more like what you can do, what choices you have, how you can listen to your body and what exercises you can do to help your baby to be born. The practical tips, exercises (eg. massages), meditations opened doors for me that I did not know even existed.
It was a fantastic 4 occasions with lots of “wow, is it really possible?” remarks. I can recommend it deeply from my heart to everyone who would like to learn how to experience a beautiful birth.
Zoltan’s impression: I found the entire course very insightful and interesting. Inbal’s talk was inspiring, informative and her method of delivery was so easy to receive. She is clearly an expert at her craft (both Hypnobirthing and medical procedures of birth) and respected also those partners/husbands who were not so open to this topic.
She acted as a consultant and said: guys, these are your options, and I’m helping you to find the way that best for you. Without enforcement, without any restriction. Just guide us through the different stages of childbirth, and show a lot of different practices & methods that make the whole process smoother and best (easiest) for the mother with the partner’s help.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this course to anyone wanting to get a real understanding of how to approach this big challenge of new parents.
Hypnobirthing helped me so much and I now know and believe in it’s power, I want to thank you again so much for all that you taught us. Steven was the best birthing partner one could wish for and I’m convinced that your course also helped him to be exactly the support that I needed. Thanks for everything!!
We’ve got wonderful news to share with you: our sweet daughter Illyana was born! She is an absolute joy and miracle 😊 We both feel fine, getting used to a new life rhythm, enjoying each other’s company 😊
Our baby was born in a beautiful and natural home birth in the pool. It was an amazing experience full of joy.
we had our baby boy, who we welcomed 3 weeks ago and we couldn’t be more happy! All went very well and it was a much better experience than with the first delivery.
Our sweet Lily joined us this Monday.. And wanted to say thank you.. I didn’t panic, the fear of birth was gone. I used the tips you gave us, and it went really fast – I called midwife at 4am, and 6.50am Lily was already out. We went to geboorte center in West, used a bathtub, which was a huge relief.. Especially that surges were very strong and frequent – no time to rest in between at all.. Robin was there with me, helping me cope with the pain, keeping my head above the water when it became extremely intense.. he also played rainbow relaxation twice – only twice cause then i had to move to active pushing and 9min later Lily was with us..Now we are at home, getting to know our little girl, learning all the stuff that parents should know at the beginning, and most important – falling in love with her every day more..
I seriously can’t stop staring at her ;-Thanks again!!
Thank you so much for a wonderful hypnobirthing course, we were both very happy that we chose to take the course. The information you sent through afterwards was very thorough and clear, a great compliment to the course as it is a lot to try to retain and the pictures serve as a fantastic visual to recall positions and techniques. On a personal level, as Humberto and I have not been able to share all of this journey so far, it was truly monumental to be able to spend a day focussed on learning and experiencing this together. We both found it very intimate and a very special experience. We have come away feeling very united as a team, much better informed and equipped with knowledge (and a little experience!) to be able to have more confidence in our own wishes. It is exciting to be looking upon this chapter of our lives from a much more natural angle allowing us to focus on the truly magical thing that it is.
I have to thank you already Inbal! Before this weekend Adam was all in for Hospitals and Doctors/specialists and now he totally sees the other perspective of lowering adrenaline and everything you spoke of. We are both totally chilled still from Saturday and really happy with what we both got from just ONE class!
Can’t wait for the next one xxx
I really enjoyed the course, thank you for the recordings and information. I knew a few things already as I’d read about it a bit in the book ‘birth skills’ (at my first pregnancy) but it’s even better to hear all your knowledge in person and the first relaxation exercise was amazing, thank you!
The course prepared us mentally more than anything. We knew what to expect. We didn’t enter blind. It was also really cool to see the videos in class, to realize what birth could be like. As well, I really enjoyed the meditations and physical exercises. We left the course feeling like we could do this on our own. We were ready. I felt more prepared knowing that I did have tools and that I could birth naturally. The course gave me confidence. I would definitely recommend it to any first time mamas, to anyone who wants to give a natural birth, or to anyone who is fearful of birth.
When I saw my baby girl for the first time her face was relaxed and curious, she was happy to come in this world!
Hypnobirthing helped me enormously to give a wonderful birth:
At 11 days past the estimated due date I sent an eviction notice to the wriggling mystery inside me, by way of eating an entire pineapple and a cycle to the other side of town for an Indian lunch. Things started to rumble in my belly and early labour officially started at 10.50pm Thursday. We were pretty excited and rushed about putting things into the birth bag and Toby finally started reading the instructions to the Maxi-Cosi. Throughout the night I focused on calm breathing and slipped in and out of a light sleep. Toby choosing to write down the surge patterns meant he didn’t get much sleep either. By Friday morning the surges seemed to be at a similar strength and pace and could still go for a walk outside. Focusing on the physiology of the surges really helped me understand and therefore work with with them. The visualisation of the blue satin ribbons around the uterus pulling upward opening and thinning stayed with me throughout the entire labour process. It wasn’t until late Friday night when the surges came stronger and closer together. At 1am I started to track the surges and by 5am it was time to call the hospital. We requested the room with the birth pool at the Saint Lucas Andreas and they said it was available. The reality of birthing in the pool finally hit me and I felt really excited now.
We arrived in the room and a midwife turned the lights down and checked my dilation I was a ‘big 4’. She filled the pool and left us alone. Here I could comfortably go into my breathing. Toby slept a few hours and it was all very relaxed all day. Later that evening a midwife started the conversation that I was progressing too slowly and when examining me stretched me and said ‘now you are a big 6.’ I yelled at her in the politest way… get out… get out…
She came back a little later and wanted to progress the labour more so we discussed breaking the membranes. I wanted to collect the amniotic fluid for an art project so it was done and it was clear. And everyone relaxed again.
The rest of the labour was a blur of moving about the room, leaning against table tops, visualising opening roses and Toby doing light touch massage which seem to work very well and occasionally surprising me with shaking the apple tree. His sense of humour really carried me through when I started to get too serious. When things felt like they were finally getting more urgent we refilled the pool and I slid in.
It was very calming being in the pool and the surges slowed down which the midwives became alarmed by as the labour was now in its 47th hour and fast approaching Sunday morning. They were worried I would get to tired for the actual birth so they suggested oxytocin. We said no and they left us alone. Toby and I spoke about our decision and 30 minutes later we called the midwife and said ok. The surges came on hard and fast and it was an hour of some very lizard brain primal noises from me and at times ‘GIVE ME ALL THE DRUGS NOW’ the midwife said ‘no’ as per my birth plan and left us alone. Toby held my head and kept saying encouraging words… I cant remember what exactly. I did start to feel the need to push though and switched to the J-breathing. Toby ran to get the midwife and she checked my dilation. “It’s beautiful. You are fully open”
And then everything just fell out of my head. The J-breathing wasn’t working with the force I felt I needed. So I asked her how to push. She said take a deep breath and push, don’t let the air out. 15 minutes later and the wriggling mystery was crowning. Toby said ‘It looks like a coconut’. That coconut was infinitely beyond any pain I have ever felt. She asked if Toby wanted to catch the baby but he said he wanted to stay with me which at that moment my love for him expanded. A minute later I felt arms and legs slide out easily and the babe was emerging from the water towards us.
It was some time before we even remembered to look to see if we had a boy or a girl. Toby said it looks like boy. We checked, and it was. Within the calm chaos a midwife said she was going to give me a shot of oxytocin for the placenta. Which came out a second after she injected me. After the cord stopped pulsating Toby and the student midwife made placenta prints while I had some skin to skin time with this strange, slippery, instantly loved new human in the world. The pool started to get cold and Toby and the babe went for skin to skin time as I had another very beautiful moment. I found myself standing in the middle of the pool which was now blood red and two midwives were washing and cleaning me down with such care. It felt wonderful bathing in endorphins and I believe it helped me transition back into myself. After that I felt like I had a new energy. We all laid down for more skin to skin and breastfed our very alert boy as meconium flowed out of him all over me and all over Toby.

on Friday 29th April I gave birth to our little boy Lucas Frederick George at the Lucas Andreas birth centre. He is absolutely beautiful and we are both totally in love.
The birth was hard work but a really positive experience. Surges started at 4:30am and I stayed in bed and slept a little until 9am. The surges were fairly mild at this point and pretty irregular. At 2pm they got more frequent and we called our midwife. When she came round I was 3cm dilated. We stayed at home until 6pm listening to the birth affirmations and rainbow relaxation recordings. I had two baths and Joris did some light touch massage which made me feel more comfortable.
Once we left for the birth centre at 6pm I was 6cm dilated and then things moved very fast. The surges came so frequently it became hard to cope but we used the birthing pool and I tried to let the contractions do their work without resisting them. I had a lot of pressure from my amniotic sac and once I was 9cm dilated I agreed to let the midwife break it which made things more comfortable for me as the water was released and the baby’s head could move down. Lucas arrived at 7:30pm after a very short pushing phase of 8mins!
I thought a lot about the opening of the rose during labour and took a lot of inspiration from the video of the english couple birthing at home together. The recordings were playing at the birth centre and they made me feel so much more reassured and confident. Hypnobirthing helped me so much, mainly by helping me stay calm in the run up to labour and having a relaxed and confident attitude to the process as a whole.
We are all at home now and enjoying getting to know one another.
Inbal, thank you so much for all your help we are so happy to have done the Hypno course and to have had a totally natural birth.

On Wednesday, 13. April 03.21 our little baby girl Mille was born 🙂 She is healthy and has the proudest parents in the world 🙂 I had a quick and easy birth experience and I even walked out of the delivery room! Breathing exercises, accepting and letting the contractions come really helped, and I am happy that I mannaged to tell the staff that I preferred to stand when they told me to lay down. Being in the position that I felt was most right for me really took away the heaviness of the contractions, and I managed without painkillers. Thank you for the course, it really helped ! Again, thank you so much, you are doing something with a special purpose, keep up the good work 🙂

On June 25th 2015 our first child Lars was born in a pool in the safe environment of our home. This date is the start of new life, but also the end of my pregnancy journey, which changed my life in so many ways.
What has proven to be of major importance during this journey was to stay as close to my inner self as possible. There are so many people, regulations and scary birth stories out there in the world that make it almost impossible to distinguish the fears of others that are being projected on you as a mother to be from your own inner guidance. At these times for me it was wonderful to be able to reach out to a strong, wise woman who shares her wisdom and experience, but also listens (even when it’s the crazy hormones talking). This is what a Doula means to me and this is exactly what Inbal is.
Inbal doesn’t “work” as a Doula. She ís a Doula 24/7. She was there for me and my family with her beautiful Hypnobirthing course, knowledge of Ayurveda, deep relaxation classes and also a network of beautiful people that are the professionals that are so helpful during your pregnancy (and after).
When Lars kept us waiting for his arrival for a few weeks, Inbal gave us faith to stay calm and offered cupping, moxa and foot rubs. During labour she was there for us with warmth, care and nutrition. Continuously reminding me of the strength we have as mothers and not to worry. Even when meeting weeks later in the park for a tea, when she supported me in my wish to be able to breastfeed outside without worrying about what other people may think.
I am forever grateful for meeting Inbal at this time in our lives. And I know that it has made a huge difference in the way Lars was able to start his life. Surrounded by love and trust in the beauty of the natural process of birth.
