The sacred time of giving birth is a time when the mother is suppose to experience a relaxed focused state of awareness
There is an aspect related to childbirth that most of us moms are less familiar with. When most of the attention, and worry, being directed to the physical side of it – the contraction, the effort involved, and the fear that is so prominent during this sensitive time of our life, we tend to overlook the solution- our mind. And its incredible power and ability to determine how our birth experience, and on a larger scale, our life, will unfold.
The sacred time of giving birth is a time when the mother is suppose to experience a relaxed focused state of awareness. A state of mind where the perception of time and space is being altered. This heightened state of consciousness is designed to help us transcend the physical sensations of the surges, and contributes to a smooth unfolding of the process. This is one of many nature’s gifts for us, women, to go through the journey of giving birth.
How do we get there? How is it possible to generate more of this good stuff? What is the connection between hypnosis and childbirth? All answers are to be found on the podcast I had the pleasure to participate in. Hosted by Dr. Kaz Jaffe, a deeply passionate and inspiring mom and chiropractor, she generously offered the stage to shine light on this concept, which could literally change to the best our birth experiences.
